Marketing to Healthcare Professionals

We know that approaching medical doctors or wellness practitioners can be intimidating. The purpose of this training session is to provide you with a thorough understanding and a functional roadmap of how to confidently market yourself to medical doctors or other wellness practitioners you would like to partner with. Starting with a thorough understanding of how to choose the right medical doctor or practitioner you will build on your knowledge and complete this training with a solid plan of how to introduce yourself, prepare a presentation, what questions to ask, how to negotiate work terms and finally how to close the deal. This training is invaluable for anyone who wants to be in private practice in a professional wellness/medical setting.

Details

You will learn how to:

  • Understand how to conduct physician research so that you can collect information to target the right physician for your practice
  • Plan an effective opening so that you build rapport, introduce yourself and your unique selling proposition and leave the meeting with the physician asking for a next meeting – presentation
  • Create a targeted presentation of your services so that you can convince the practitioner that you have something to offer
  • Gain access through the gatekeepers and build relationships with the key influencers
  • Identify when to close the physician and obtain a commitment from them
  • Review common situations that arise in sales calls, target your sales call to your audience, overcome the unknowns and how to get your message across in 30 seconds
  • Create promotional materials that inform the physician about your services
  • Understand how the medical reporting system works and learn to chart like a physician so you can speak the same language.

Instructor

Michele Mahoney, RHN, has spent 5 years as patient care director for PT Health, using her human resource background to promote the clinics across Canada. For the last two years, she developed and implemented the physician/ practitioner engagement program nationally with a focus on marketing and relationship building. She now brings her expertise to CAHN-Pro to help her fellow holistic nutritionists market their services to MDs and all other practitioners.
